Default 224/228 cam

I have been told the comp cam 224/228 581- 115 lsa is a good choice,
but is it streetable without a stall?

i love mind very good street manner with stock stall .

no track times but the dyno numbers are 410 at the wheels

With this cam and 405hp. ive ran a best of 11.89 with the stock stall, going back next weekend to try an improve that #
And with a good tune no stall is needed. also ive seen guys with bigger cams Lay down way smaller #s ,So don't think bigger is always better..heres a clip of mine @ idle

thanks, nice #"s I be happy with the time & hp I'll be running similar set up as you , ported 243, tpis long tube's,corsa catback , mti cold air, ls1 edit, except i have 315 rear ratio. 2001 c5.

thanks, i"m sold on the cam, is your lsa 115? 60ft time?

No mine is a 114lsa w/+3 advance, My best 60 is a 1.82 no spin, stock stall though, But 119mph: Good luck with your choice

used to run 224/230 .582/.591 114+2 xer lobes with tsp 2.5 ls-6 heads fast 90/90 1 3/4 lt dyno 438rw 400 ft lbs through an a-4 add 3.73 gears and 3600 stall = 10.97 at 123.66 posted in 1/4 times sticky dec5 2008.

you my friend have trick flows and that 3600 stall that car will get it with that combo

yes thats the new setup with custom amr cam installed in feb 2009 and thats when the 224/230 cam and tsp ls-6 heads came out. new setup has gone 10.752 at 126.91 and should have a little more in it
