Viper vs Vette
He claims it's stock except for some drag radials. He said he's raced it before and he can probably drive it well. That should probably put him in the high 11's right?
Anyway, my problem is finding out the cheapest and easiest way to outrun him. The Corvette has to come out on top. My vette is a 2000 coupe AT. My current mods only include a Vararam intake, cat-back, and a dyno tune. So I'm obviously far off.

I was thinking some long-tube headers, a higher stall torque converter, better tires, and maybe a 100 shot would do the trick. Do you think that would put me where I need to be? What stall converter should I go with? I'm on a budget so I was trying to stay away from forced induction or a motor swap.

Heads, Cam, Stall, Gears, Intake, long tube headers & retune. You have a 2000 like me so you have the LS1 intake, get yourself an LS6 intake while you're at it.
I've done all the mods above over the course of about a year and it's a totally different car. And yes, I think it'll run with a viper.
As it stands right now, you're a low 13's car on a great day...you have a lot of time to cover!
If you're on a budget, you can do what I did and buy used parts from other forum members who desire to go faster. You can get heads and cam on here for a good price. You have a 2.73, so can't just buy a 3.42 ring/pinion....you'll have to send the diff out or buy a used 3.15 diff and replace the ring/pinion or buy a 3.42 diff complete. I bought heads, cam, pushrods, stall and ring/pinion for 1200.
Check the part section and start buying a little at a time and before you know it you'll have a great budget setup.
Have fun!
He has to shift at the correct time/rpm's to achieve a good time and also not missing a gear. YOU have an auto..........
Between the 150 shot being activated on mid to top of first gear and YOU with DR's not spinning any.......
you should be ahead of him 90% of the time -including the finish line !!

All you need is a cam, exhaust and higher stall converter probably around 3500. With the right tires, provided you get some practice you should be able to get mid 11's all day and still have decent daily driver.

He needs to go down if he thinks a vette can't beat him.
Save your money and set him up against another modded vette.
Or just have a ECS Novi supercharger installed, which will take him out with your current setup and will drive like stock.

With your mods (primarily vararam, and tune) you should be around 13 flat.
A stall and gears will drop you .75 sec. ,and a 150 shot another 1 - 1 1/4 sec for VERY low 11's Make sure you get an NX kit (or equivalent that is rated AT THE WHEELS) The torque that the N2O generates will more than make up for his stock(?) V10s hp.
