The LS6 intake/TB and 243 heads should net you 25-30rwhp possibly more.

I would definatly consider a more aggressive cam while the engine is apart. A cam with a 224 duration with a 114 or 115 LSA should pass the sniffer. You could also call Comp Cam and get their recommendation on what cam to use.

Throttle body size - same
Plenum volume - larger
runner volume - same
runner length - same

this is what I found for intakes
_______________ls1_____ls6
Plenum volume - 5.06L--5.19L
runner volume --.536L--.541L
runner length ---262mm-262mm

Im curious on the shorty headers, was that because of emmissions?

I gained 20 rwhp with the 243's heads and 10 rwhp with the LS6 intake.
