Getting ready for track day at montgomery 1/4 i decided to throw on an ls6 intake and get the car retuned. MTI in marietta tuned the car 2 years ago 75 degrees, 20 % hum, with all my bolt ons LT's intake ect. with 3.42 rear car made 332 hp and 342 tq, Retune showed 338 and 347 tq after intake with same bolt ons weather 89 temp, 28 % hum. through 4.10's so not a big improvement but we will see what the track results show in 2 wks i am still holding out for 11's with bolt ons.

Maybe added a little more than its showing. The new 410 gear and weather would make you read a little less.

True, the gears and weather (though it is corrected) will skew those results a little bit.
But typically a basic bolt on car won't pick up all that much going from an LS1 intake manifold to an LS6 intake manifold, 5-8rwhp is the norm I think.
I never dyno'd before/after when I put the LS6 on my Z28 but the track results really didn't show much notable improvement.
On a cammed or FI car it will show some nice gains though I'm sure.

Why do stock cars not pick up much from the LS6 intake mod? I read about how the 2001+ cars have milder cams to keep the power down...

Then what i picked up is about right.

that is very good power especially without headers. I ran a 12.25 at 114 with 1.79 60' with a 3.90 so i am really hoping with the 4.10's and ls6 intake i can hit 11's. What was your mph when you hit 11's?

your dyno numbers after the .410 gears should be adjusted by 3%. 338 should read 348. That's 16hp increase. A nice upgrade.
The 3% figure comes from John Page at 21st Century Muscle cars in North Dallas. I was just there a couple weeks ago.
