Is there any rule of thumb on how much your 60' time changes your ET?
I have a bolt-on FRC and on 3 year-old takeoff Michelin PS1's I cut a 2.13 60' time(went 12.81 at 113 on that run). They wouldn't hook on anything past a 2500rpm launch and was losing serious traction on the first 2 shifts.
Horrible I know. I don't have any money for DR's but do have some fairly new Nitto NT05's on the car now. Will my ET change significantly if I get that 60' down to 1.9-2.0 or so?
i swapped to nitto drags and pulled a 1.80 down from 2.1 dropped 3.5 to 4 tnths off each run depending on my shifts, so dropping the short time will definitely show
Your ET will definitely improve. Just how much is hard to say. I HIGHLY recommend that the next "mod money" you decide to spend is on good drag tires. THEN your ET will change significantly, and you lessen the chance of wheelhop and broken rear parts.
For reference my bolt-on car(making only 333rwhp) went 12.151 @ 114.63 on a 1.825 then did 11.958 @ 115.06 on a 1.773 on the same day in the same DA.
Dave,I think you meant to say that a .01 improvement in 60' will equal approximately a .2 improvement in ET. As we all know RT can determine the winner or loser of a race, but it does not affect the ET.

lol, yep. Brain to finger disconnect.
But you did it too! It should be 0.1 in 60' = 0.2 in ET. Not 0.01 to 0.2.

Took your advice and bought some MT ET Streets(275/40/17) on some C5Z wheels. My wallet wasn't too happy but I was.
