I just wanted to share some pictures of my new drag pack. The wheels are Greg Weld Racelites. The fronts are 17x4.5 and the rears are 17x8.5. I am running 185-55-17 M&H radials and 275-40-17 Hoosier drag radials. The front wheels clear the brakes with no spacers. I also test fit these on my Dad's 07 Z51 C6 and they will work with an 1/8" spacer. The fronts weighed 14lbs and the rears were 18.5lbs without tires.

Very nice Andrew! That's crazy how much caliper sticks out in the front, never see them from that angle though so i guess they all do that. What did a set like that run if you don't mind me asking? Any other plans for the winter?
The rims were $599.00 shipped. I am planning on a Heads and cam for the spring, but I do want to get a little more out of what I have first. Thanks for the compliments guys.

very cool 94z28 racer. Part that sucks is greg weld passed away and the wheels are no longer
On another note you can see you have alot of tire/sidewall over hang with the 275 tire. I may recommend you try something narrower like a 255 cause that wont be as stable up top and not so safe like that on launch cause it can increase the chance of debeading when dropping the tire below 25psi.
Oh out of curiosity what do they weigh with tires on them?

Do you have a link or info for where you ordered them?
nice wheels and price. tried to get a set 2 yrs ago from greg weld left messages numeros times and they never got back to me. assume you picked those up used as the pricing when i was looking for them was more like $850.
also curious as to weight front and rear with tires
The weights for the front are 32lbs and the rear are 40lbs. The M&H radials weigh in at 18lbs and the bias ply they offer are 10.5lbs. If you went bias, you would be around 24.5-25lbs in the front.
The rear tires do fit the rims good. They are the same width as 17" wagons and thinspokes. The angle I took the one picture on did make the tires appear to bulge more then they actually do. The hoosiers do have an in set bead, which sets the sidewall of the tire out almost 1/2" from the wheel. I took some pictures so you guys know what I am talking about.
I did buy the wheels new from Jim's Racing Tires in Baltimore MD. Greg Weld did go out of business shortly after his passing. Jim's does have a couple more sets of these available. These wheels are coming back out this year under a new company called Racestar Industries. I was told that the wheels are going to be coming out of the same factory as the Greg Welds did.
Do they have additional sizes? i would like a 16" for the back and a little wider for the 16 and/or 17" would be great. Anyone know? Myself, i think i would like the polish knocked down a bit, maybe more of a satin look?
