Default Thinking about parting stonabones 69 engine ???

Well have had many tire kickers(actually engine kickers),with a few very weak offers on kyle's 402 nitrous engine . Thinking of parting it out ? Figured I would post here first to see if anybody wants anything before I list it . Here is a link to the the engine
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-p...post1572878146
New engine be done soon so any reasonable offer will be accepted .

Email me @ tirecraft10@aol.com or call me 732-684-9669

Thanks, Mark

Link is not working FYI. As a side note,I have not had positive response on selling mine either.I suppose the average guy thinks these are 2-3K engines ? Best of luck on your sale.

Funny huh Vince? I have real close to $17,000 into this badass proven motor, used it for part of a season, made less than 60 passes on it, changed the oil after every track day, gonna have my mechanic freshen it up and guarantee that its in mint condition and some average guy thinks its worth 2-3K... This is one badass motor that pushed my 3600lb car to 9.25 at 153MPH with a 6 speed... Put this in a lighter automatic car and go 8's all day long... Maybe I just keep it as a backup motor...

what you think its worth and what someone will pay are two different things...did you watch the mecum auctions??a racing ready Mark Martin number 01 U.S. Army “Car of Tomorrow” from DEI, Dale Earnhardt Incorporated, which was not only raced but listed as correct race ready, reached only $60,000. how much does it cost to built a car of that caliber from that shop???? 300-400K????

VA SPEED custom tall deck 440 ci, 275 cc performance induction cylinder heads, 1/2 inch studs, wilson billet blank intake, nitrous pro flow nitrous with solenoids for a 500 hit. Hopefully over 800 na and a few more on the hit. We will see in the next few months. Just looking to pick up a couple of hundreths... Once we get some parts I plan to do a build thread. Mark

If you can afford it, that's what you should do. Your taking a big loss selling it.

Besides, it would be a good starter motor for Marks vet.

As mentioned, Doug has a C5 shell with a full cage ready to go.

Mark and I have talked about Rob Z and I going as a combo round... They'd probably guess somewhere in the 25 second range... I dont think theyd ever suspect two low nine second cars...

Great idea... Does anyone have a conection to the boys at Speed to pitch the idea? I'm sure it would be some good ratings for them...
