LG street LT's, x pipe, ti catback, vortex intake, ported TB, plugs wires therm. TEX clutch, DTE stg 3 diff with 4.10's, 275x40 MT et street radials.
1st pass bogged launch 12.38 @ 114mph with a 1.85 60'
2nd pass 12.16 @ 115 mph with a 1.78 60'
3rd pass 12.08 @ 115.0 mph with a 1.70 60'
getting closer changed some tire pressures and went back out.
4th pass
12.04 @ 115.2 mph with a 1.67
5th and final pass!
1.656 60' BEST
4.926 330'
7.651 et 1/8 BEST
88.89 mph 1/8 BEST
9.987 1000
11.93 1/4 et BEST
115.95 mph BEST
So finally 11's with bolt on's I was really excited and was not doing any more mods until i did.
Thanks to the forum and all the guys who posted there track advice and experience as it greatly helped me get here. Also thanks to pit for last minute advice and thanks for posting pics on the pony wars thread

I also have a 99 C5 (coupe) with a lot of the same mods, stock motor, stock heads ect, stock trans (A4)
Shortie headers, x pipe, ti catback, vararam intake, ported TB, LS6 intake, plugs wires, 3.15's, Diablo tune, 305x35x18 Toyo R888 radials.

My car must be heavier because I have all the options, Bose stero, CD changer, HUD, dual power seats, etc.

So the differance I see is the Long tubes vs. my shorties and the manual trans., which should help the launch and the 4.10's.

I just got into the 12's for the first time last weekend and here are my times:

2.042 60'
5.485 330'
8.283 et 1/8
88.57 mph 1/8
10.706 1000
12.758 1/4 et
110.03 mph

my reaction time was slow .434, so I could have gained a few tenths there and maybe gotten to 12.5something

I think the biggest differance is the gears, 4.10 vs. my 3.15s

Hey, I was just happy to get into the 12's after running 13.01 all last year. That time also beat my previous best time from high school of 12.79 (on a motorcycle), so I happy.

If I didn't make it into the 12's I didn't know what else I was going to do, you can only bolt on so much, I was thinking heads and cam next, but now I don't need to do it.

Congrats on your 11's !!

It's going to be a good year !!

!!
Reaction Time does not affect your ET. You can sit there all day long. The clock only starts when you break both beams.

Your not going to get his level of performance without getting a good stall converter and a gear to go with it.
