had that problem also hitting limiter 1-2 and 2-3 after having some upgrades done to my car. took car back twice and they still couldnt get it right a forum sponsor. the shift point problem was solved when amr did car. something strange sounding in your tyranny like cluthes are worn. to long to shift like somethings slipping.

Yeah, I agree. Thing is they just put the clutches in after I toasted them in 2000 miles and maybe only 10 runs

Pitt,
First pass - Looks like the right tire did not spin enough in burnout.

Yeah, I saw that too. No smoke for a long time. Not sure if it was a dry tire or what ?

Yeah, warranty.... with me paying labor again !

Well just got back and tranny would not tune and got worse as the day progressed. First my laptop, with a brand new battery was dead...the charger died I later found out. When I went to plug the inverter up to charge the battery, the inverter went up in smoke. I had to grab it and throw it out of the truck. Stunk up the interior real bad...lol.
The day was down hill from there. It appears to be a tranny gone bad, maybe the pump or clutch pac's again. It wouldn't even come out of frst gear, even if I pumped the gas. We put the normal tune back on (from the last dyno a couple weeks ago) and it wouldn't shift either. So.....my truck is down, not even streetable.

Time for crown and coke

First going to see if they are going to back up their product as they built the tranny from scratch. If not, I will have to go to small claims court and try to recover the entire $2800 + the $350 labor from the last fix. The tranny has never been right from day one.

or...pull it myself and have someone else fix it, as it isn't totally destroyed or anything. It is loaded with all the high dollar parts.

or just find me a used L80e from a junkyard and put in myself and still try to reclaim my money from small claims court.

Just thoughts for now.

I did have fun in first gear, here is a couple pics I got my hands on ! Slicks were doing their job. It looked as if they were wrinkled all thru my sixty foot.

This is Dan...Mr. 10.3 GTO, he was helping me yesteday along with another guy well known.
Enlarge the pic and check out the paint job...Eddie sure did a good job @ Flemming Island Customs !!!

This was a Z that showed up with 600 rwhp.

They were keeping the lights out and cutting time slips in half for some fricken reason. It was too crowded to find out. I think he said he had run near a 10.5, but was traction limited so far. He had ET's on it at 18 psi.

Well the truck is being operated on tomorrow. They are taking care of the tranny if they can figure out what keeps happening. I think it needs to be shot, CRUSHED and burned !!!

Well....actually every race track trip this year (since June 09) has been trying to set the shift points and get the tranny right. I haven't made a good pass yet. Best was an 11.6 et pumping the gas to shift !!

So...I really haven't raced in a year

My buddy is rebuilding the tranny again...the goal being to get me back on the track and a PB by the end of April.

At this point, a Personal Best would be to make a complete pass without a hic-cup in the shifting. All of a sudden I love a clutch\shifter again. At least I have control over the gear change !!!

By the way, the Z is getting lots of driving now !!!
