1st run revved a 4k and did a quick release. 1.603 60" and a 7.2 in the 1/8th. didnt really focus in shifting, I was trying to get used to the 4.11s. 2nd run opened the cutouts revved a 4500 and boom

The quick release with the slack not taken out of the driveline can = Boom, or a dead hook as well !
Sorry to hear that ! Most of us have done the same

dang that sux....what clutch....you shoulda figured out a little more before stepping it up on the rpm as 4000 with a 1.60 is pretty good...cant get too clutch happy with these cars on the release
what did it run on the first pass? was your rear build stuff or just gears? when mine went it was trans output shaft that broke and that broke my new ring gear at the time....4000-4500 for me next time was all i was willing to do no higher and very smooth with the clutch pedal...all i needed was a 1.63...got my 10...and I bounced...didnt want to break anything and ruin a good day getting greedy for more

best of luck next time out....all these guys have had the same...fart, pitt, me, blu....to name a few get back out there and reach your goal but i would recommend creeping up on it rather than getting TOO aggressive and paying for it

thats the thing, i didnt get a full run since i let of in the 1/8th. ran a 12.3 @68. im still on a stock clutch. my diff was stock just for the gears. after the 1st run i was all scared cause i think i spinned one of the slicks from the rim. once i shifted to 2nd my car scuated really weird from the driver side and the car revved a little and when i shifted to 3rd the back of the car was moving all over the place. after 4yrs of going to the track in the z i finally broke the rear

yup,i jacked up the car last night and was able to see my gears theres is a big hole in the side of the diff. i had a friend spin the tires and i was able to see everything move inside. looks like everything is in working order inside the diff. im just hoping my trans case didnt break.
