ran the 1/8th mile today and was slighty dissapointed with the number i have gotten, my best time was approximatly an hour and a half past the worst one, 6:10pm and the best was ran at 7:51pm, it was a hot one out too. just wanting to know if these seemed low or average.
Congrats onn taking your car out to the track. I'm glad you did, and I hope you get back out and run it some more... You'll get bettter with practice, but be careful, it can be addicting...
the car is a stock 1999 a4 with the performance 3.15 option, removable top, falken tires, 126K on the clock. i dont know what the altitude is of the place, its humboldt county dragway in iowa, maybe 1000ft?

So drawing a general comparison between your car and his it must be safe to say that your car is bone stock...correct? Yes your times are on the low side even when considering the poor weather (high DA) conditions. If you want to improve your times, all you need to do is take your car to Atco in November and you'll most likely run a 11.90 @ 121 like the rest of the East coast dudes do. "I just couldn't resist saying that"
Edit; Actually your times (ET) would be considered on the high side...somewhat slower than average...but not that far off for a stock A4 99 vette running in Iowa during a hot mid July day.
