had my c5 dyno'd last night.. ( 310/309). i have 2.73 gear and it was dyno,d in 2nd gear. a couple people at our local car club said my nimbers would have been higher if dyno'd in 3rd cause that's 1 to 1 ratio. im just wondering if it's a significant difference and if so what your guestimate would be.. i did a search but couldnt find any info on this.. thanx in advance for any input..
Yes it might've dyno'd higher in 3rd gear but it's difficult to say with those 2.73s as they really kill the RPMs in the higher gears at the higher speeds.
That's exactly how mine was dynoed and it made around the same numbers (it was 95 degrees out). I think it was around 311hp/319tq. I have 3.15's and a few bolt-ons.

Definetely should of been in 3rd gear for the Dyno tune! Take it back and have them redo it
Thanks,Matt
it wasnt getting tuned. i was at a dyno day and a couple of the ford guys ive beat at the track wanted me to put it on cause they didnt believe it was a 100 shot. they offered to pay so i threw it on.. with 2.73 i think they would have to run it to 175mph. maybe they wouldve had to reset the dyno or something. dunno.. ive never had anything on a dyno so it's all new to me.. someone told me there would be a 10 to 20 whp difference but a few have told me no so i figured there would be some dyno guru's here that could clarify the exact difference..
I just had my Cpe dyon'd because it had gotten LTs and xpipe, just a basic street tune. It did 340.29 and 354.82. This is all new to me also. It threw codes about the 02 sensors several times so I had the tune.
