It seems that all the experiance resides in the performance section, so here I am. Haha.. I'm looking for info on getting more fuel with out dropping the tank. Here's what I posted on another forum;
I own a 04' C5 ZO6 but I've only had it for 11 months. And I'm still learning the fuel system. My question is about my options for increasing fuel without dropping the tank. The car makes roughly 440ish to the tire so I'm sure I need to upgrade in the fueling system to spray a little.
Other than the typical Casper/Racetronics hotwire with the KB BAP is there any other ways to increase the fuel without dropping the damn tank?? I've been reading about the famous Bosch 044 and its potential. I have lots of ideas but I'd like to hear you guys thoughts.
O, and I've talked to all the professionals and they all want me to drop $1200-1700 bucks on there kits plus the price to drop the tank/suspention/tranny/rearend. Seems crazy for a 150 -200 shot. I've considered a stand alone but the rest of the system is hidden and that would blow all the hard work that went into that.
BTW, I'm only planning on spraying about 5 times a month. Because I only go to the track once or twice a month. The rest of the time it will be on the tank pump only. The more I type the more it sounds like the hotwire/BAP is the way to go. But not sure if the hotwire/BAP will support 650-750 flywheel HP?? I mean really, an extra 3-4 volts for another 150-200HP. Is that really possible ??
But I still want opinions and facts on this.
Thanks....
O, and doesn't ECS or A&A corvette have a fuel sytem upgrade without dropping the tank ?? And I think the ECS system involves a 044 ?? Anybody have info on those setups ??
Again, thanks..
Do a standalone. Relocate the battery, hide it all where the battery was. Mount the tank down low in the hole, then buy one of the battery section covers from the 'Bay to cover it up even further, it'll cover up everything in that section with a cutout for the fusebox to stick through
I run a Brailie knock-off its only like 5"L x 3"W x 5"tall. Do you think it would be safe to mount the fuel cell right next to the batt. ?? When I say right next I mean like an inch or less apart ?? If so that might be a great idea. Or I was thinking the washer res. Any write ups on that location ??

I'd relocate the battery to another place in the car, as small as that battery is it would be very easy. There is enough room you could probably mount that battery down near the PCM, but that would make access difficult. The standard Jaz nitrous enrichment cell is 6x6 x 12" tall, so you could likely fit it all in there but it may be tight with everything else.
I'm going to be putting an enrichment cell in place of the battery on my car, but I'm just relocating to the rear. Keep in mind you need room for an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, feed line (and return line if you run high/FI pressure)
