I personally think it does. And the Blackwing will sell quickly in the classifieds section if the price is right and that can help offset some of the cost of the Vararam of course.
If you're not really seeking all out most/maximum track performance though the Blackwing should be fine. There might even be some minor tricks you can do to get some colder air to the current set up and make it perform a little better maybe.

I have a vavaram on my 02 Z06. You can hear the huge amount of air this thing sucks in. However, I wonder how much power does this thing makes with nothing else but a tune.
Hummm...I need to set up some dyno time with a tuner.

You wont see much of a gain on the dyno with the Vararam, unless you dyno it in a wind tunnel......

It's on the track and/or the highway where it really shines.

Chris,
Just curious if you ever had a chance to install the Vararam you had discussed purchasing and what your thoughts were about it.

I compared my car w/ blackwing and then with the vararam. I believe it was about .15 of a difference faster w/vararam if memory serves correct.. (I also had screens in the front w/ the blackwing, so that helped in terms of the blackwing.)
