Default FAST 92MM or wait for head

oK i ll make it in a simple way.I ve gained 82whp/45wtq with my G5X3 and bolt on.I was asking myself if i could really benefit from a FAST 92/92 combo on my cam only c5z.Or should i wait for some nice heads.

Off course with the intake i could do the job in less than a hour without touching the engine. The heads would be good but im trying to avoid tearing the engine apart again for now...

So pretty easy would the 1k investement be worth it on my car.How much gain?

Thanks
Eric

Stock heads are still going to be the restriction. You might maybe pick up a bit right at tip-in based on the bigger plenum volume available to the motor.. but much else is questionable I would bet and those gains won't even show on a dyno. I'd watch for them on sale and pick one up when they're cheap, put it on if you want, then know you'll pick up a lot more when you do heads.

Good luck!

You will gain power with a fast intake. The deal is they are fairly expensive and you dont gain as much with one as you would with heads. Heads are the next best thing you can do. I understand you dont want to get into that much work right now. I would estimate less than 10 hp on a stock head car for the fast.

Your Z has 243 heads on it now which are pretty good heads. Do the FAST now and add heads later if you want. You will pickup nicely with the FAST.

Just my $.02

I think most guys will agree that you're better off waiting for head, provided that she doesn't make ya wait too long that is LOL.
Sorry, couldn't pass that one up LOL.

I would do them at the same time......... heads and intake and I would go with the 102 intake.... did you step up to the 90MM TB? I picked up 22 HP on the dyno from the LS1 intake and TB... but thats overall HP... my throttle response is incredible and the car pulls hard to 7K RPM... also I went from Trapping 118.... to 124-125 mph and thats where it matters not on the dyno!!
