hey guys so i just got my NX wet kit installed for my 04Z and im gettin super curious!! gonna be setting up an appointment for a dyno tune
other mods are:
Longtubes
Catless X
Borla straight pipes
Vararam
when i hit the track i'll be on skinnies and a nitto 555PIIs
with the other mods minus the NX kit i dynoed at 385rwhp/379rwtq Untuned...and my best run at the track was 12.2@115 on street tires..spinning off the line and tire hopping into 2nd gear
just curious what you guys would think i would put down with a 100-150 shot..and what kinda 1/4 miles to expect..i havent seen anything on other z06s with my mods but im hoping for a 10.9 ..think its possible?? i plan on starting with a 100 shot MAYBE a 125 shot...and eventually when i get use to it bump to a 150 ..

good set up, get some good tires, get your 60ft in the 1.6 area and you should be in the 10's like stated above.
You should be at 480 on the 100 shot and 530 with the 150.
10's should be possible with a good 60ft.
Good Luck!
all about the traction you have enough power on the 150 shot the 100 shot just might get you there. try a hoosier 275x40x17 dr on a stock c-5 front wheel seems capt huff and others used that tire on there 6 speed. any weight reduction will help also. good luck give us some numbers.
If you don't already have a clutch, you will be buying that next. After you get a clutch and some tires, 10's are do-able, but most likely bottom 11's all day long.
Gary went 10.8x@125 with just bolt-ons in his C5Z so I'd say it's definitely do-able if you have the driver mod. You will need a 1.6 or lower 60' for sure. BTW, if you get wheel hop make sure you abort the run right away. You will break your diff, ask me how I know.
In my opinion, you'll need a better tire. As mentioned above, the 275/40/17 Hoosier on a 17" C5 wheel is one of the best options available.
You might neeed a new clutch too.
And, you'll need quite a bit of seat time to figure out the launch.
Good luck, and report back.
I agree with everyone and Pete above.
With nitto555r2's your going to have to launch easy and make it it up on the big end. The 1-2 shift is also going to kill your et.
What you ran in the past doesn't apply much here. It's a whole different ballgame.
Well I ran a 7.49(1/8th) with a 3600 stall, ET Streets, and an NX 150 shot. The exhaust is bone stock. That run I was running a 38 fuel jet instead of a 33(I was going off my old Mustang flow chart and forgot about the higher fuel pressure) so the car was running pretty rich. With the headers one I have no doubt cracking in the 10s is possible on a good track.
