Default opinions on performance

Hi all, Just wanted some opinions on my times with the mods. I have a 2002 C5, A4. Stock it had the 3.15 gears. Bone stock with my son driving (he weighs 160) it ran several 12.8 runs. Between 107-110. with the short time in the 2.0 range. That was with a DA of 900. since then we have done an offroad X, Strait pipes, still has manifolds, 2800 converter and 3.42 gears, halltech CAI and tune. He ran last night and did two passes that were 12.8 @ 108 on a 2.0 short time, but the DA was 3000. This is on the factory size good years. I am pretty happy with that considering it was a muggy night. All things considered does that sound ok for mods done? I had posted in tech about car slowing down after a couple mods but didn't consider the DA. Thanks all in advance.

That's pretty good considering the DA. You just need to get that 60' down a bit and you'll be good

Even with the much worse air/DA the car should've been able to beat it's previous best ET and sixty foots in my opinion, at least by a little bit.
But you probably need to run it in that same 900 foot DA again to really know the true gains for sure.
Also, when running in cooler air/lower DA you might want to consider drag radials, you'll likely need them.

Update, I took the hoopty to the track tonight, 2263 DA, I ran a 12.89 @ 109 on a 2.1 short time. I weigh 260. Pretty happy with that, I located a set of 305-35-18 Mickey thompson DR's so if the weather is nice this wed we will see what she will do. Also this is the first time I have run the car since the mods, One of the mods I forgot to mention was I installed a trans go HD 2 shift kit, when the car hits second it breaks the tires loose real bad, There are some gains there with good tires along with getting the short time down.

Yeh, you really need some sticky tires.

do you have a line lock in your car? what tire pressure? the sixty ft should be lower than what your posting and it appears you need to heat the tires and find the right tire pressure. i ran 295x35x18 bfg dr's at 26 lbs when my mods were stall 3200 , 3.42 gear and headers only with stock front tires (heavy). times low 12.'s et and low to mid 1.80's in the 60 ft. i had line lock and heated tires. was also the first times down a drag strip.
