Default Does this seem too high???

Dyno'd the car and it put down 346whp/335wtq. All I have done (that I know of) is some sort of CAI and Ti exhaust, looks like the stock tune! I was baffled by the numbers as I was expecting maybe 315-320 tops. It's a 2000 FRC

Seems about 30 hp high for a stock 2000 with only CAI. If the dyno is not happy then you have a very strong car.

The exhaust may have picked up 5-8hp at the most, the CAI basically nothing on a dyno, so you should be in the 312-318 range
If it runs good, enjoy it

Mine put down 328whp bone stock. No cai or anything. Then made 414whp with just a reverse split 227/224 cam. Ran 11.86@121

What did you run at the track if you have yet? The trap should tell about how much power your making.

Could be one of three things...
1 mods have been made that you aren't aware of
2 your car is a freak
3 the dyno is off or the guy running it is smokin your pole...

414 w/o headers or any other mods other than the cam?
Either the dyno is off or you have one stout ride.

What was the air temp, altitude, etc. when you dynoed with the cam?

Given parasitic drive train loss, it's inconveivable for a 345/350 bhp motor to register 328 on a chassis dyno.

So it's not stock, or the dyno was miscalibrated.

the track never lies. always tells you how much usable hp your putting to the ground to achieve your et. there are various calculators you can use based on weight, speed at 1320, and et. i find some of them generous like some dynos and i find others a bit stingy too like some dynos. oh i already said that so i usually average them to get a number.

Wow,that mild cam produced 86 additional HP on a otherwise stock engine and it trapped at 121 mph. Of course I believe everything that is posted on the internet, doesn't everyone!!

Hoping to take my car to the track soon, only thing is, there aren't any 1/4 mile strips within 250 miles, so I have to go 1/8 mile. Either that or go to Chicago, KC, or Indy

Holy **** you guys are dicks! The car made 414whp with the 227/224 cam and full bolt-ons. I have never heard of anybody putting in a cam and NOTHING else. I thought we were all smart enough to realize that bolt-ons is assumed if one already has a cam.

The car and old motor had 113xxx miles on it and popped. At that point I bought a low mileage ls6 block, put GTP stage 2 heads on it. Not dynoing the car before I put my new cam in I didnt seem it ideal to claim the newly added hp from the heads so I didnt. BTW, people with that combo usually make 430-440whp, so 414 would be on the low side. Jesus Christ, you guys are rediculous.

Just one for referance: 443whp

Now, I have the all the same mods but I have a much larger cam and a varraram.

Man, you guys go digging to call ppl out on "lies" dont you? haha now you just look like somebody with too much time on his hands that has nothing better to do then take out his childhood anger on the internet.

Okay you've proven your point that the car is down on power thus making it relatively SLOOOOOOW. Please come back when you have some real performance details to share.
