Default First Time at Dyno

Finally got a chance to dyno the car last week. I went to The Tuning School's facility in Odessa Florida. Bob and Ian are first class guys. If you ever get a chance to meet them you will see what I mean.

Anyway the car has an LS6 intake (not ported), PRC 5.3 heads milled .030, 224/232 cam, 3.42 gears and a 6 speed turning some big heavy 19" wheels.

Car made 416/384 (weather corrected) on a Mustang dyno.

I am pleased!

Yea, there's nothing like dyno tuning your own car I took the school there, and it literally opened up the world of tuning for me. There are still TONS of stuff I don't know, but the hands-on tuning experience is priceless.
(not to mention picking up over 100rwhp over the previous tuners "professional" tune )

Yea, I took their beginner class in Charleston, went home (Atlanta), did a heads cam swap and then started street tuning. Then I went to Florida on vacation so while I was down there I stopped buy to see the guys and have them check my work on their dyno. I think I had it pretty close. Maybe Ian will chime in.

The tune was close to begin with but i showed scott how to use the PRO Test, Vehicle Simulation Test and Power Curve on the Mustang Dyno.

The PRO Test was used to tune the VE Table so you can hold the vehicle at a certain RPM with load to get to the higher load cells at that RPM. Vehicle Simulation was used tune the MAF Table and Power Curve was used to tune WOT.

Anybody is more then welcome to stop by and chat .

How was the drive back up to Atlanta?

Ian
