Just bought a 2003 z06 car has cai and headers. I put a set of drag radials on it and off to the 1/8 mile i go.Well its harder than i thought .I done a good burnout but the best i got was a 1.90 sixty foot 8.08 at 92.53 mph. But the car is still spinning.Guess i need more seat time. What et should the car run with the mph thanks for any input
That MPH is pretty good man, really good. What kind of radials? What was the DA when you ran, you can check on the site that provides the info (cant rememeber link). Do you have an x-pipe or catback? IF it is just headers nad CAI, that is a solid mph but the e.t. can def go down looking at the 60'. I say 7.8x @ 93 with a 1.8 60'.

Nitto 305-35-18 about wore out. dont know da and high flow cats and bullet cat back. The car would never dead hook.Went down to 18 lbs in tires
I would leave any where between 2800 and 4000 rpm. Let tires down to 18 lbs. May have been a slick track because seem like everybody had some problems. Also first time out in car. My other vetts have been automatics. Had tires really hot on the 1.90 pass but about 2 cars out tires would start spinning a little

My suggestion is to pick a consistent RPM to launch from, and a set tire PSI. Do that for about 3 passes and then make a small change to one of the factors (probably tires). Honestly a 1.9 is not the worst 60 foot, for your first time out with your Z06. Its not the easiest car to launch first time at the track. just my 2 pennies.
Nitto DR are good but like stated above, you cant go wrong with Mickey T's. Best hooking tire IMO. Get the radials, the ET streets are damn near a full slick. You will dead hook and launch it around 3500. Should bring that 60' down to 1.70's easy.
Went to a different track last night.Just got to make one pass.Tires at 18 lbs left line at 3500 rpm slipped clutch about 10 feet.Went a 1.86 60 ft 8.06 at 91 mph.Need more seat time only second time out in car.
Got to make one more 1/8 mile pass in car last night.Still on the nitto dr It went a 1.90 sixty foot and a 7.99 at 92.68 mph. Only 4 th pass in car i belive it will go some 80 with more seat time .But the best part was a guy with a c6 z06 called me out he was on street tires. Had fun waxing his tail
I got to make one more pass.I have added a torquer 3 cam, same tires it went a 1.77 60 ft 4.91 330 ft then when i went to 3rd it would not go. Clutch stayed on the floor so i coasted across the line still run a 8.04 at 60 mph. I belive the car was on a 7.50 run. I have video if i can figure out how to put it on here.
