Default too tall for track?

im going to the track friday and just got my homemade drag pack all together, and i have the car lowered very far, and i figured i'd put it back up a lil bit for the track for weight transfer. is this too tall in the rear? it might also settle a little. i pulled it up about 15 feet and backed it back up. any input is appreciated! thanks

here it is after messing with it a little and driving a couple miles. better?

Yeah I think that might be a little too high, could mess with your launch and even possibly unsettle the car a bit after a few feet out and/or on the 1-2 shift.

Is there inner fender liner rubbing (there shouldn't be if they're only 26" tall) if you lower it?

Nah it won't rub at all. Is being bottomed out okay though? Figured it'd kill weight transfer

No, sitting on the bolt stops/bottoming them out isn't good either.
That could create a hook/unhook/hook situation that is both detrimental to sixty foots and possibly even dangerous.

Are your bushings/rubber stops that worn out?

I know most C5 (and even C6) guys that still retain their stock suspension/stock shocks etc do lower the rear of their cars a little bit in attempt to aid traction.

I think its bottomed out through the shocks. I Thought I've heard that's how the bottom out. Not sure on rubber stops though.

I wouldn't worry about too high. Make sure nothing hits or rubs and you should be fine. And slicks grow so you want some fudge factored in.

Mine sits that high and it doesn't seem to have any affect on launching as Rob says above.

Budda are you running spacers on the front with the GTO spares? I have the same front combo and havent put them on yet.....I am thinking I will need 1" spacers for it to look right?

i put 2" spacers on. i think 1" to 1-1/2" would still look okay. 1" might be a lil in still. i liked how the 2" looked so i went with it.

Nope don't need studs. EBay has a ton of them.
