Default First Post. New z06 owner. Just got a dyno tune!

Hey guy's I just bought a 02 z06 Yesterday! So far I love the car, the previous owner never had it tuned so I figured before I did anything that would be the first thing I would do. Took it today, about 15 hours after purchase and got it tuned

The dyno sheet is at the bottom, 370rwhp/361rwtq. How are the numbers compared to others? I will list the known mods.

Bassani Headers
SLP Loudmouth catback /w high flow cats
I'm not 100% on the cold air, it has the Vortex power duct with 2 filters pulling air from the correct spots like the vararam, but not true ram air.

As far as I know that's the mods, heads look stock, stock intake mani.

Some pics.

Looks about right for stock motor with a couple mods. The rims look like heavy chrome aftermarket which might drag your numbers down some.

So, Brett tuned it, I assume. Did he get a baseline dyno in?

Brett at XP took real good care of me. It wasn't a true baseline but he did upload a pre tune and it made 351/345. 2 pulls later it made 370/361 and he was happy and so was I.

Wow, that is quite a difference! Powerband looks nice and smooth as well.

Numbers seem low for having headers, CB and a tune but then again dyno numbers are just dyno numbers and that dyno may have just been very conservative... Get it to the strip now

Here is my 01 Z06 Which is one of the stronger ones lol...
My Mods:
CAI & Borla Straight Pipes...
367/364
Best 1/4 11.89 @ 118

Well it is Bassani headers, and it still has cats. So I'm guessing they aren't the "best" headers out there as far as power goes.

And I did make it to the track last weekend .

Not too disappointed in the times considering traction/wind.

60' - 2.041
330 - 5.492
1/8 - 8.269
MPH - 93.99
1000 - 10.625
1/4 - 12.609
MPH - 114.15

That was my best pass, also my best 60'. I have stock sized Goodyear Eagle F1 tires in the rear with 50-60% tread left. I was having a big traction problem all day it seemed. I launched at about 2.5k rpm and just slipped the clutch out and rolled into the gas through 1st/2nd. If I was shifting the way I wanted I was just spinning the tires down the track running 12.8's. Also, idk how much of a difference it makes but there was a consistent 15mph headwind directly in our face.

Not unhappy with the traction issues and wind. I expect high 11's, low low 12's for sure with some good tires. Maybe you guys can tell me what you think

You should most def be high 11-12 flat with some more seat time and better traction, Not to menchin all around better track conditions..... Ya Bassani isint really the best header system for the C5's do to the collector design and them leaking around the clamps....

Dyno #'s seem to be on par to the c5z's with those mods....they seem to be anywhere between 370 up to 390ish I've seen.

I made 382hp/382tq in my 01' zo6 with those mods.

The trap might be a little low, but you were probably feathering it out the hole.

Nice looking car!
