Default Cam from texas speed???

Hey I have a 02 zo6 with headers intake and exhaust. Looking to get a cam from Texas speed! Wondering what cam other people running in the ls6 from Texas speed! This is my daily driver so I want it pretty aggressive but not have to two pedal it just to keep it running! Any input would be nice! Thanks!!

best bet is to call them. the 224R, 228R, and torquer V2 are all very common daily driver cams

I saw a vid of the TX Speed Tsunami cam in an '01 Z06 the other day with longtubes and exhaust and it sounded nasty.

He is a member here and his car is for sale. Let me see if I can find the link to his for sale thread and maybe you can PM him about the cam.

EDIT- Hera ya go, link to his for sale thread below.

you could drive it everyday....... but I don't ..... you have to get the pistons notched for valve relief.. my heads are milled so to be on the safe side was a good idea to go that route. The V2 is a little bit milder, but the V3 has okay street manners

I put down 398 RWHP with TEA stage I heads LG LT's and a FAST 76 intake. I like the Texas speed 224 cam, but I do have a lot of valve train noise.

Probably bc you need different size pushrods....

I made 406whp on the torquer 2 cam only with bolt On's and valve train noise sounds stock...... Ls1 motor, been driving it daily for a few months and absolutely love it.....

Nope, Correct push rods. It's the nature of the beast.

I went with a 228R for my GTO. This cam had a very nice lope and really picked me up in the mid-range, I made 351 RWHP. I liked the cam but I wish I had gone a little bigger. A lot of people really like the way it sounded through my Kooks headers and magnaflow exhaust.

I made 404 with cam only and bolt on's with the torque v2. And my car is a 99 coupe with 853 heads and 26 # injectors. Also keep in mind what your future goals are going to be.
