I'm getting a tune done on Saturday. I'm hopeing for somewhere around 400 to 420 RWHP with a stock bottem end, M6, TEA Stage I heads, Texas Speed 224R Cam, LG Sreet Pro LT Headers (no cats) FAST 78 or 76 intake (can't remember) stock TB size, K&N CAI and Exhaust Tech Catback. I'll post up up when she's done.
Ended up with 398 hp 391 tq Not bad I was hopping for a little more, but it's a safe tune. Wondering if a bigger TB and intake might get me over the 400 mark.
Sounds about right for the combo to me. The 224 cam is pretty mild compared to others out there. A cool day will get you to 400 on paper .
Unless you switch to a Fast 90 or bigger, a bigger tb isn't going to do much. Don't know what year yours is, but if it is a '97-'00 then you have the smaller MAF as well that will choke a bigger tb.
I have a friend with a '97 and a 224 cam. Very street friendly and gives the car a nice sounding idle for sure
