no and we dont believe you run these due to no timeslips have been posted by your C5 for 4years now! I throw the BS FLAG UP!
If you read slowly you will see I said...I have them, not Run them so no flag shall be thrown at this time. However, if I don't get my clutch in soon you guys can kick me off the forum for being like Nick. I WILL SHOP FOR SOME WAX SOON !!
By the way...so you know I'm not a complete lazy bum, my Silverado is kicking my azz. This is weekend #4, working out problems with a new Cam that I should have ordered from Pete Incaudo instead of someone else. The new, wilder cam gained 5hp, lost 8 tq and lost 15 under the curve from Pete's mild little street cam.
I was looking for a problem so I ordered all new pig tails under the hood, new corvette coil packs & plug wires. I ran all new wiring back to the computer. Then I tore it all down again to double check cam alignment. All good and new dyno run. Same power loss. I am one more weekend from pulling it back out and re-installing Petes cam.
Ughhhhh, I hate wasting money like that. That's about 1K loss to go with the power loss.
Now the company has emailed me that they can only cut down my rims to 5-1/2" wide. That will probably be stretching it a bit too far !!
Any advice out there ?
By the way, I had ordered new 6 lug 16" x 10" and 16" x 5" Bogarts from a forum vendor and nearly lost my $2260. Thank you Paypal and Mastercard for the save. Now I am back on the hunt for wheels with no luck at all.
When I ordered mine they told me 4'' was preferred but they should not go on a rim wider than 4.75''...just what he said you could always try it.
Sucks about the cam, sell it and get pete to grind you a more aggressive cam.

Thanks, that is what I needed to hear. I emailed M&H and they didn't even bother to respond. I don't want to pay to have my wheels cut and then not be able to use them. Close to $500 plus shipping both ways for the fronts alone. I am at a dead end now.
Bogart did the same as M&H and would never respond after I talked to him about sending me a price. Business must be good out there.
I'm going to get with Pete near the end of summer. It is too hot to run NA soon anyway.

Never to hot What wheels are you using? I have thought about getting wheels cut down.

I'm running these 10" Comp Extreme on rear (they stick out about an inch+ and then running Colorado spare, steel 4" rims on the front with spacers. Butt azz ugly combo and nothing fits correctly.
I have 2 sets (8 total) of stock 17lb alu rims and I was going to have them cut & widened to save some major dollars.
I have them on my vette with a 4.5" wide rim but the M&H Site calls for a 4" rim.
I assume that you're talking about the 17" bias plies and not the radials, correct?
I've seen the bias plies mounted and raced safely on a 5" rim but I believe that 4" - 4.5" is still more ideal.
Now the 17" radial versions are a little wider and I believe that a 5" - 5.5" wide rim is actually recommended for those, though I've seen quite a few people also squeeze those onto a 4" rim (like I may be doing in the near future LOL).

Yes my fronts are Bias Ply. The wheel company is telling me the cut would leave a little over 5" so maybe I can run them anyway. There is a lot of sidewall so I can't really see what the problem would be.
I am already loaded with 16" rims and tires. If I go with 17" radial, I will need new rims too, then they wont match the back.
Thanks for the info. This is a PITA. I probably need to just sell everything and start over with 17" stuff.
