Perhaps Doug cheated...

But then Doug had to post his guess...
HOLY CRAP, it sure felt good to get back on the track. The last time I went down the track, I never left the starting line, as my diff split into 3 peices and I broke an axle. That was Oct 4, 2011
As I've said before, my plan for this car is to run 11.50 in any weather, and be comfortable driving it anywhere, with excellent street manners.
Mission accomplished.
So, Drop the Top showed up tonight (I owe him his entry fee) and was able to video my first pass in the car. Thanks!!!
My first pass went like this.
Good smoky burnout on brand new MT 255/50/16 drag radials
Light the top bulb, bring the rpm up to about 2500, bump into the second bulb. As the third amber lights, I let off the brake, but forgot for a second to hit the gas... silly me...
1.628 - 60'
7.159@96.40
11.235@120.83
The next 4 passes were all about trying to figure out how to slow it down to 11.50. I ran every pass out to the 1000' then brakes to a variety of numbers - none of which were 11.50... Ellis and Eric are safe for now...

The last two passes of the night, I wanted to run heads up against Andrew.
1.519 - 60'
7.006@97.03
11.051@121.74
Then
1.524 - 60'
7.024@96.82
11.077@121.55
I'm looking forward to Saturday's Corvette Challenge and the 11.50 index
Thanks again to Andrew and Marc
Doug, Chris, Matt, Tommy and the rest at ECS
And Tommy again, because he deserves it.
That's potentially a 10.7/10.6 and 125mph car in 5-7 months as it sits/no other major changes, 1.4 short times are coming your way too.
But at least I got the sixty foot range closer than most.

So close to a 10... It never occured to me that i'd be this close.
The scale is rarely ever open at Atco but I would guess that Pete's race weight tonight was roughly 3300 - 3350 pounds?

Did you weigh it? I'm guessing 3050 as it sits w/o you in it...(your manual passenger seat is very light), you've got the light glass, etc.
Congrats on the new fast ride. Looks like you need to put in a throttle stop (1x3 under the pedal).

Congrats Pete, we'll get that EFI cable to you tomorrow and if you feel like running tens it will be a few clicks away. You have a really great car there, congrats on getting exactly what you were looking for.
It's almost as if I drive modified Corvettes for a living.

I thought the Z's were 3150 and and auto was slightly heavier then a stick? I'm curious to see what it weighs too.
btw, 1x3 under the pedal? What is this 1990? We do that electronically.

I'll weigh the car tomorrow at E-Town
The DA by the end of the night was about 300' The Baro was stuck at 29.80
Doug, Thanks - I have not heard back from Jay
Andrew ran 10.70...
I forgot to bring any CDs with me...

Some good times for sure, but I cut out around 9:30 so I missed your last passes. Congrats

It was great meeting you Pete, and seeing you again Marc.

Andrew made some nice passes too.

And imparting some of your wisdom is the only payment I'll ever accept from you, so you hold on to that 10 bucks.

I saw Kaspar finally ran his red Z06, 12.07 if memory serves. Not too shabby. I think if he loses those billet tail light louvers, he could get in the 11's.
