Yep thats my car

Arun did bring life,joy and lights to my small project.I say small because for some its only a basic 383 but i wanted something that i could afford,have fun with it and was kinda proven recipe.

Specs:
-11:1CR TSP 383 forged stroker(callies crank/rod,wiseco pistons,arp bolts everywhere)
-Custom cam : 240/244 .608/.612 113 lsa on 1.7 but now .615/ .619 on Comp Cam Gold 1.72 rocker
-PRC LS6 2.5 CNC Heads,PRC EHT .675 double springs
-Stock ls6 intake/tb
-ARH 1 7/8 Headers/x-pipe connected to stock TI mufflers...no cats
-60lbs injectors
-Misc: double timing chain,tsp ported and shim oil pump,morel lifter,manton pushrods,Spec super twin clutch,Tick adj master ect etc...

A little info about my story.Bought the car 3 years ago in toronto area to be able to afford one.I did get if for 20k while in Quebec are(where i live) they where in the 30-35k area.Really wanted a quicksilver one.Mileage wasnt an issue since i knew that i was gonna play with it But i didnt plan to play with it so soon... My stock engine let go after the g5x3 was put in because of a cracked no7 pistons.My first new forged stroker also did let ago after 600 miles because of a crank failure.Now this one got 1000 miles now and everything seems fine finally...crossing fingers

I did have a lot of issue with the car:

-It was starting really bad cold and if i turn it off it will not restart unless i step on the gas pedal all the way;
-While running at any speed(from 1 km/h to 200km/h),any time that i press on the clutch to slow down to a stop or redlight or just to put it in neutral the idle would go up and down (from 300rpm to 1300 rpm ) 5 or 6 time or more before going back to the 850 rpm base idle.This situation make my oil pressure drop because of the 300 low rpm and make parking a hard thing to to since the power steering is not driven correctly;
-Seems that there was no power or response from a dead stop/red light in first gear before 2000rpm;
-Couldnt drive the car under 2000 rpm or lower in city or on the higway,the car surge,hesitate,bucking a lot;
-So the car was a nightmare in city driving and in cruise speed.
-Made 482 whp and 430 wtq at first with a fast 90/90 setup

But damn ARUN came to the rescue.I trusted this guy so much that i did sent him my car on a transporter truck(9 hours away from me).I didnt had time and i didnt like the idea of doing such a long trip with so much trouble running the car.

Result:

-The car did a wopping 490whp and 461 wtq (a gain of 8 whp and 31wtq) even tho the fast 90/90 setup was take off and replace with the stock ls6 unit/setup because im going force induction has a winter project...Would have been an easy 505whp+ with the FAST setup...
-I can now drive the car as low has 1350 rpm cruise control on highway without any hesitation/bucking,no reason to do it but i did test the car entirely
-The idle is now steady and no bumping at all,can go 6700rpm wot and put in neutral and the idle would go to its 900rpm idle setting
-I now got plenty of torque and power from a dead stop(will try to upload the dyno graph)
-Starts like a champ wether it is cold or warm
-No more surging or bucking

Conclusion:

Arun service is awesome,gave me a lot of update,did answer to all my questions and he bring me the tune that my car needed.
To me this guy is one of the best tuner in north america

Would have been in the 505/515 whp range with a FAST setup.Since im going FI ,i took off the fast setup.

Cost will depend on what you want in your setup.I took the short block and the heads and all the drivetrain stuff at texas speed.The basic 383 was built with eagle stuff (wich i dont like) .I did upgrade to callies and some other stuff. Go on there site and you can have an estimate with your building option

Now im debating if im putting some DR to test it on the track or wait to have a real built diff.This car should be an easy low 11s if not high 10s ...
Blower will be on this winter just to spare some time

Thanks for posting this, I'm just starting a 383 due to engine failure with very similar engine specs and 500 was what I was shooting at, great to know. She sounds great!

490 rwhp through an LS6 intake and ported 243's? Seems a bit high...
