I have had a miss of late, so I decided to ohm the plug wires. They are MSD and were on the car when I bought it. Well, one was intermittant high resistance. Nominal is 30 ohms......
Called the local speed shop, they have a set in the warehouse and will have it at the store by 4 and they will call me. Can you tell where this is going?
So I go get the Hoosiers mounted on the thin spokes. Change the oil. Change the plugs. (went back to TR5 from the 6's) Put the Hoosiers on the car and it's right at 4:00. I call them. Driver hasn't shown yet. So go download the latest tune for the A4, take a shower, It's now 5:00,
call the store. Yeah, they are here. Thanks for calling me.....douchebag!
Go get the wires and they got me a set for a Dodge magnum......close. I gave them the ****ing part number. They mixed up the last 2 digits.
So there went my race, a perfect 75 degree sunny day with evening temps in the 60's.
Crap
BTW...the Thinspokes with the Hoosiers have to be 20lbs per wheel lighter than my 18x10.5 motorsports replicas with the Continental Extreem DW tires.

Well, first I have to get it to shift by itself.....I haven't tried that with this new combo yet. I think I'll start at 6000 and see where it falls. From what I read, it can be tricky to set up. Once I'm comfortable with that, I can vary shift points to what the car likes. I suspect it will like 6600 or so......
I'm new at all of this.
The first night out with mine, it was shifting at 6800. Once I realized I had a lot in the bank, I backed it off to 6200. Just to help the engine last longer.

No, but I do have EFI live. Doug from ECS did the original tuning, then he showed me how to adjust the shift points and the throttle %. Those are the only two parameters I know how to use.
