I have a 99 FRC. It is obviously a six speed with a vortex rammer cold air intake, a borla cat back, and a short throw shifter. Otherwise it is completely stock, down to the ls1 intake. Also the car sits on real Z06 wheels with Hankook tires (no drag radials).
I have run the car a total of 9 passes. I kept getting 13.10's and a 13 oh, but yesterday I finally got the 12 I was after. I was racing a 2000 Trans Am with long tubes and full exhaust and a lid (auto).
60 ft 2.13
1/8 8.51
1/4 12.988 @ 109 mph
On a side note I won the race against the T/A off a holeshot.... My light was .100 and his was .250 . I ran the 12.988 and he ran 12.92. I know my 60 foot sucks, but I am used to running on drag radials and am having a hard time on street tires. Anyway, I am happy with the results for the limited mods. DA was 600 feet.
I wouldn't bother running on street tires. It'd not worth it in my opinion. I blew my diff and took the trans with it from wheel hopping on street tires.

Agreed. I never go to the dragstrip with street tires anymore.
EZZZE, nice runs! Time for some sticky tires and easy low 12s. I also have a '99 FRC, however mine has only drag radials and a Borla X-pipe. Last November I ran a 12.30 at 113.49mph on a 1.79 60ft (DA was -600). I would think with your mods and some better tires, you should be able to crack an 11.99 in negative DA.
Thanks guys. I do plan on longtubes, x pipe, ls6 intake, tune, and drag radials...but I don't want to go crazy like I did with my old trans am. (6.0, L92's, big cam, 4K stall, nitrous). Anyway, I am happy that it ran what it did on street tires.
Also, I am done with running on street tires....just wanted to prove a point to myself.
I have an '88 coupe mustang with a carb'd 5.3, big cam, th350, and nitrous for my real street/ strip car.
