Your better with the 17" for more sidewall. Get 16" camaro wheels if you can, for even more sidewall. I picked mine up for $50

I have been looking into this as well and everything I read says the 17's are better between the two you are comparing.

No Ron, actually the ET Streets (Bias ply) are getting 1.4 sixtys. I just cut a 1.49 on my 17"...haven't been back with the new 16".
Gary said I will hit low 1.4's with the 16" wheels\tires.

Some people are mixing them with no problem Ron, but no way I will ever do that again. I changed lanes at over 120mph. With all bias plys, she tracks straight as can be. I have M&H skinny's up front.
OP, i would not run 18" tires for the track. I don't think you will ever hit a 1.4 sixty foot with them.

Depends on altitude.....Denver = low 12's, sea level maybe an entire 1.0 faster.
I live at 6300ft

With the power he is at, he would have to launch at 7k for a 1.4 on 18s and it may be his last 1.4 with a "- -" for a 1/4 mile time hehe.

I meant tire, not slick. As opposed to a radial. Call them slicks or ET streets. Whatever. These "street" tires are thinly disguised slicks anyway.

Slicks with a few fake rain grooves...lol.
