Well, that would be interesting. but I have a car for all that.
Fared better tonight, but still hot and sticky.
Tonight I worked on the MAF calibration, and got it much better. Still running in MAF only.
Also was able to bump the timing now that I don't have winter fuel in the car.
Best of 11.33 @ 121, I never got a decent 60ft. It's just not going to happen. I even went to the tower and plead my case....deaf ears.
So, about that bottle...I have 3 here, and will have the lines, solenoids and all that stuff from my Nova because the rat motor is coming out, and a turbocharged LS going in over the winter. But, not really the point for the C5.

pretty good time considering the weather. That sucks about the traction issues. they must not have any prep down. I was at atco raceway on friday night. There were guys cutting 1.0 60's running sub sec times at over 200mph.
I can relate to you on the weather thing. We ran my buddy's 99 z28 with bolt ons and 3400 converter last friday. went 11.91@113.28 on a 1.63 60' DA was -900' according to dragtimes
installed a fast 90/90 and 160* thermostat, retuned it- Ran it this friday. went 11.96@113.28 1.63 60' DA was +806'
We picked up 2+mph on the backhalf with those items
We're hoping to catch one more night like last friday & see if we can get a 11.79 slip

Thats awesome weather. We are around +2000 DA during the day and +1300 DA at night. No records to set running NA
Ill be headed back up to MIR in November. Same guys plus more should be there for some new PB
We will try and make it again. Rick's Orange C6 with the Procharger ate a tranny, so we have it back on the rack. Mine is just waiting on some good air (prob be November).

Hey Ron, good to hear from you.
Yes, the track prep is nonexistant. I went to the tower to talk calmly with the track manager. He cited cost, $25 per gal, said they put down 4 gal at the start of the evening which is bs, they use a bug sprayer that doesn't hold 2 gallons, I watch and they don't go fill it....the guy sort of waves it around, doesn't even get it back to where the tires sit. Anyway, also blamed on the FWD cars, street tire cars and the fact that big tire cars don't show up to help put more rubber down. Gee, I wonder why they don't show???
It's a lost cause. City owned facility.......
Drag rqadials were the wrong choice.
I've also been out with my Nova. The car has never spun the tires, and now it blows them off.....700hp rat will do that. Frustrating!
I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for Ron but I found a free app on my Android phone that calculates DA provided you have an airport local that's posting weather data regularly. It's kind of cool to check before we run to get an idea.
Also, and I'm sure you use this already, drag race times has a nice DA calculator where you put in the track, date, time, etc. and the weather data is already there. I like that one because you can put your run in and based on the DA figure "close" to what it would run at sea level. That one is free also can can easily be done from any smart phone.
Weather sure does affect the NA cars; summers in Texas are brutal as we climb past 100 degrees.
Hey Ron, just sent you a PM. No, I'm not going to give you a hard time about not having a cell phone. There are many days that I think you're smart for not having one.
This is where I have to admit that I don't have a cell phone.......
Damn Ron.... Just damn...
How you gonna chase hoes with no cell phone? WTH?
How is the ole nova doing these days?
I ran my 71' at a nostalgia drags race back in April. It was 85* out and a 15-20 mph head went.. I only went 10.87-10.93s that day.. Mph was 122-124.. DA was like +2000' but the wind was the real killer. I was in full on street trim and only 31* timing. Normally this same tune up would be 10.70s@125+ on 0' to -400' days (on the heavy wheels)Pointless to race the 71' in these conditions unless its just a cool event for fun..
