Finally heading out to get 1/4 mile times since the cam install. I will post the times tomorrow.
It was 13.4 @ 109 with a 2.0 60" before the mods. Can't wait to see what it does now.
I have a question about my tires though. The NT05's have been on for about 9 months and 8k miles. I plan to drop them down to about 18psi.. Should I be concerned at all with thier mileage?

Is anyone else heading there tonight?
Thanks,
Bill
No worry on the tires except for wheel hop. Be sure to let out, if it happens. That can/will break some parts if you stay in it.
Good luck to you and let us know how it goes. Also, and this is very important ... EAT AT SONNY'S BBQ WHILE YOU'RE THERE. SIMPLY THE BEST BBQ IN THE WORLD.

I'm jealous that you're close to one.
That's too funny. My wife keeps a jug of Sonny" BBQ sauce in the frig at all times.
So the night didn't go as planned. I expected to come home with slips in the 11's Everyone was complaining about bad trac prep and poor traction.
I'm sure my issue was a combination of track prep and my lack of experience. I could not hook up to save my life. Started off at 20psi and ended up at 16psi, didn't seem to matter at all. I had better 60' times when it was stock and on runcraps. ??
I am low tech and can't seem to get the slip images to show up, so her it is.
I ran 4 passes and they were all about the same. I tried to launch from 0 rpm, 1000, 2000 and 3000 rpm's and it didn't change.
I was doing the same ET as a guy with a 2013 427. He should have been faster than me me. He could not hook up either.
Time for some sticky mickey's with a higher aspect ratio I think.

With a 3K Stall and your gear, you will need some ET Streets to get that sixty down..... IMO. It is easier to feather the gas with a clutch rather than a hard hit from a TC. Get some used 16" camaro rims and a set of ET Streets and it will make a world of difference.

Paul Jr and I would be glad to work with you. We have been at it long enough and worked the C5 from the mid 13s down to the mid 9s over the years. We have had about every combination on that journey. Will you be at the LSX shootout in a couple of weeks, we could hook up there but time permitting maybe I could look at you car between now and then. Let me know if you are interested and i will contact you. I live in Alpharetta.

If you can, go for the ET street bias tires. I think they will work the best on an iffy track.
I've found that my track just isn't going to work with the Hoosier drag radials.
In fact, the 245/45/17 have given me better 60ft than the 275/40/17....I ended up with 2 setups....go figure.

You will be in the mid 11's with your mph.

Yeah. I was worried about the NT05,s before I went. I don't get the traction I was expecting out of them on the street. They just spin too easy.
I did one hell of a burnout to get them as hot as possible on the last run and it didn't improve.
Ron is correct Bill in that a drag radial is only good on a perfectly prepped track. I've experienced this also. Bias ply DOT tires are much more forgiving on marginal surfaces. I also agree with him that with your mph you'll be in the 11s. On my bolt-on C5 I've went a best of 12.22 with a 110mph so you're right there. Get it to 60' and the rest is easy ...

Thank you for your input Scott.
Time to spend some more money. It never ends does it

No, unfortunately it never does. It becomes very addicting. "If I could only go 12s I'd be happy." That comes and then you're not satisfied. Next it's 11s ... I suppose it's cheaper and healthier than many vices.
I'll make you a great deal on a set of CCW Classics drag pack with NEW ET Streets and Firestone fronts. Half price from what they sell new and then you'd be done with it.
