I know there are at least a handful.
I'm only looking to make 750-850. We'll see where I end up on pump gas, then e85.
The reason I'm going power glide is because I want auto but I don't want to have to wonder how long a 4L60 is going to last
I don't have any personal experience with the pg swap, but you know dave, jay, Doug, and others have done it. They've all run 8s. I believe they used a 28" tire too. Although Jay might have gone larger.
I've thought a lot about doing this too and from talking to them, te street manners aren't al that bad considering you don't have an OD.
It's great for the track and will stand up to just about anything. Jay broke his rear once, I believe, but he ran 8.30. He's pushing a bit more than 800-850 rwhp.
Good luck with your swap. Hope to see you at the track.

what converters are you guys using usually Coan
what rear are you using and has it ever broke stock with hardened shafts and our spool kit has held up well to about mid 8's, then it's time for the 9" conversion.
power levels 800-1100 is fine on the stock diff, several cars have made 100's of passes without breakage at those levels
what kind of 60's you're getting mid to low 1.2's, 1.20 being the best from 4DRUSH's car
and lastly how the car is on the highway
It's not, you have a purpose built race car at that point, and it does it's job fantastically compared to a stock built trans, but extended highway use is over for the most part. I have driven about an hour away at farthest, but the car is taching high.
