Default Gear/converter question

Would 3.90 gears and a 4500 stall be overkill at the track?
Will i have Traction problems?
Can rear diff handle the hard launching?

I have a 98 c5 with a stock bottom end lq4 that ill be spraying a 200 shot to.... Mods now are 3.42 gears and 3600 stall with some 315/45/16 MT Drag radials..

With a 1.6 60'
Could I see some 1.3-1.4 60'? With the 3.90s and 4500 stall

You will see a 1.4X 60; with the 3:90's and 4500 stall with bolts ons if you have traction.
I would keep the 3:42's and add the higher stall

Why would you keep the 3.42s? I'd also like to pull the front tires just saying

What stall and gear are you running if you don't mind me asking?

We run a 3.90 gear, Yank SS4000 and 27" Hoosier drag radial. Best 60' has been 1.50 NA and we'll see about what a 150 shot does to it in a few weeks.

It's a little "loose" on the street but still driveable so if that is a consideration keep it in mind. We love our combination!

I think 3.90 be best for n/a...a 3.42 would b best for supercharged /nos application...run it hard ..dif should hold up as long as it dont wheel hop...
