Happened to me when I first put in a cam even had a set of tires on it and went a 13.1
Gears have a lot to do with it
How much gas are you carrying
You could remove the pass seat (weight)
Needs more air/fuel - bigger throttle body / intake
Need to lower your 60'
Aside from the other great advice offered here, weather is a huge part of this equation too. Air density (typically measured in density altitude) can make a bigger difference than the mods you have when compared to a stock car in perfect air (lower density altitude). This calculator will give you a decent idea of what your car could run in ideal conditions if you still have the weather data from your track day. http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...calculator.php
Exactly. If you don't have a tune, get one! My stock C5 ran 13.1 like clockwork too. A Diblosport tuner and a Blackwing put it at 12.7. Then a professional tune after adding headers, B&B's with the Blackwing put it at 12.3's. With a cam and a tune at that altitude, I would think your car would do at least low 12's.

Sorry, I don't see anywhere in this post where he specifies what tranny he's running.
You might want to point it out for the rest of us.
I went again yesterday and ran 12.7 with alot of knock retard seems better thought.
If I were you, instead of running your car at the track with seemingly obvious tune issues, I would get a tune first. Your car isn't going to just fix itself.
I think the lack of info on your part is the reasons for the response you are getting, if your tuning your car then you should know from the logs why you ran a slow time and work on correcting it.
every one here was just trying to point you in the right direction since you never mentioned any thing about tuning and was asked a few times if it was tuned after the cam install, had you posted more info and details you probably would have got better responses

I understand that and most were giving me good suggestions. Because when I first posted I didn't have any KR on those runs but as I was tweaking the tune I ran into some on that run. Was just reporting back that I was seeing better times wasn't trying to offend anyone
I am Tuning my own car im taking it to the track to log my problems and fix them.
I dont need the smart comments about how im running my car..... how will i fix or even see the problem if i dont run and log it? Im learning to tune and if i damage my car in the process its my fault i will fix it.
i came here for help some people understand but others just want to talk crap im 19 and it seems like you guys are acting childish.
It is not a smart comment its the truth. Beating the daylights out of your car at the track is not the way to learn to tune it when you are a beginner.
Including this part in your original post would have sort of answered your own question. It's running slow because you made major changes and the car is not getting the proper tuning it needs to benefit from the modifications. MPH tells more about how the car is running over ET at these power levels.
