First time inquiry
I just bought my first 2000 Corvette and put in SLP exhaust system with Ram Air Induction. I am content with the horsepower and torque and wondered what I might be looking at to put a loping cam in it just to create a unique sound. I bought it for $13,200 with 61,000 miles on it and I prefer to have a little fun with it but make it a quote unquote show car. I am new to the Corvette world and just trying to enjoy the car but not like a 16 year old with 400 horsepower. Lol

$2k is a good estimate. But it sure sounds to me like the mod sickness has started to overtake you. Not to worry... we've all been there. Phase 1 - exhaust and/or cold air... Phase 2 - Cam. You think you'll be satisfied... Then its easy to justify some new heads. While those are off, it wouldn't take much to put a new intake and/or TB on. It makes you started thinking about some giggle gas or maybe FI. Oops, need to build tranny and rear end to handle that new HP... and you know what...? I can't recall having more fun in my entire life and I'm now over the big 6-0. Wouldn't change a thing. Enjoy the ride... maybe a cam that sounds like this one?
