I am thinking about swapping my stock ls6 intake manifold and throttle body for the fast 102 with nick Williams 102 tb. The only mods I have on the car currently, are a mild cam, long tubes to an off road x pipe, and a CAI. Would this be worth doing? What kind of power could I expect over the stock ls6 setup? I am debating between this or a head swap, but this would be a little cheaper. Also, does anyone have any experience with fitment? I've heard these can be somewhat difficult to work with.
Would you need to swap the ls6 fuel rails on a fast 92 manifold? It looks like I would only need the manifold and throttle body, is that right? I saw that the 102 is a bit overkill for a stock 243 head car. Again, I only have a 232 236 cam with longtubes and a cai. Car made 411 rwhp after the cam install
If you go with the 102 you'll need new fuel rails. The LS6 rails can be used on the 92. If you decide to go 92 you could pick up a LS2 TB which is less expensive than the NW 102. Depending on your future goals and how crazy your plans are a 92 would be sufficient. In fact, the LS6 intake is also a good route.
I have a 102/102 setup and it is kind of a pain to drive at low speeds. I had to have my low rpm and idle tune done twice for it to be right and not want to die coming to a stop. That being said, the gains on the top end are awesome with it. Just a quick heads up for it.
