After several months searching, comparing, shopping, ... Wendy and I drove a couple hours north today to pick up our new trailer. After tossing around buying one complete with AC and the inside finished, ordering one with a couple upgrades, or buying a bare bones model (but with 5200 lb. axles and 6-lug wheels) we decided to go the last route. The price was right, we can upgrade wheels/tires when necessary, didn't have to wait on one to be built and finish the inside as we like to our specifications over time. Even though it's a 2016 model it was on close-out for some reason so the price was right. Pulled pretty well coming home although our half ton 5.3 worked harder than I thought but I guess a 3575 lb. parachute is a little different than our open trailer.
Now that the roll bar is in and fall is coming I guess we have no excuse not to get out and race some more.
Thanks guys! They definitely make and sell much nicer ones but we feel blessed to be able to have this one. It will keep the car protected to and from the track and overnight when we race some weekend events.
Excited to get out this fall and test our progressive controller in hopes of running some solid 10s.
