Here is my first run down the 1/4. 340 treadwear street tires. Could have been better. I gotta learn to look at the tach or install a shift light because I murdered the rev limiter 3x.
Got a bunch of mods? That's def not stock type numbers.
Sorry, I didn't mean to imply the car was stock. It is procharged.
I did two more runs, but both were slower than the first. The second was low 12's and the third was 11.9. I spun the tires badly on launch. I guess the 1.8 60' was beginners luck Both trapped at 126 though.
I'm hoping to get back out with some drag radials. In road racing & autocross there is a real benifit to learning on crappy tires before jumping to slicks. Is there any reason to not use slicks when drag racing?
Went out this Friday after getting the car back from having a new clutch put in and I'm a lot slower. It was cold and damp. The car feels like it is running fine.
Ignore the reaction time. I was concentrating on launching. I launched at a fairly low rpm and it stuck. Very very slight bog.
I'm not sure what the heck is going on. The only work that was done on the car was clutch, slave, added factory O2 sensors and had a loose bolt in the steering tightened.
since you messed with the o2 it might have messed with the tune, what do you mean you added a o2?
btw did you put any miles on the clutch before you tracked the car?
This is what I'm hoping, but I doubt it. The reason I doubt it is because the upstream o2 sensors were completely disconnected and the previous owner said the tune didn't use them.
I have a tuner scheduled soon and he uses the upstream o2 sensors. That is why I had them added.
I put about a hundred street miles on it.

i never herd of a tune like that? I have used down stream o2's up stream cause the have longer wires and was a must with my headers since they changed the location of the o2's but never heard of any one just using down streams?
that has to be it, loosing 15mph and gaining 1.2 seconds in et's if it was any thing else you'd probably be able to tell
Found the slowness It was a huge boost leak. Fixed it and the power is back. Wheel spin at 80 is fun :0
I met with the tuner today, but his HP tuning software wouldn't program my ECU. He is guessing it was tuned with EFI Live instead. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Sounds like an EFI Live custom operating system in your PCM. He would not be able to read or edit that with HPTuners. However, he should be able to write a complete new tune to flash into the PCM, unless it's locked or something.
