Started tearing down our 2004 Corvette this weekend to install a Tick SNS Stage III Torquemax cam. I'm going to keep the stock 241 heads but add BTR springs. Interested to see how the cam works with our existing set-up (big gear and converter) and how close to 10s we can get with cam only NA.
My question is will I need new injectors? We run the stock fuel pump with a MSD boost-a-pump.
BTW, also installing a Nitrous Outlet stand alone while everything is apart and then am going to tune it with race gas and for 150 jets when we get the new cam tuned. REALLY crossing my fingers hoping we can make 600 to the wheels and run 9s on nitrous. Then I'm done modding ... I swear!
i'm running 42 pound injectors on both the 346 and the 382 if that helps
pretty sure I've replaced the fuel pump along with the boost-a-pump
are you still running 28" tires? Wondering what your best 60' is with them... 4K stall?
Yes, 295/50/16 Hoosier drag radials which are just shy of 28". Best 60' is 1.50 with a Yank SS4000. Keep in mind that is NA and this engine makes low power. It will 60' 1.5x any place we go.
So are new injectors necessary? Can I get away either the stock ones?

If it's in your budget in my personal opinion I would just put a set of 42lb injectors in now. This way you have room to grow later and incase the stock injectors aren't up to the task when your getting it tuned. I know I wouldn't want to pay for a tune twice because of injectors. Just my opinion, I put 42lb injectors in my cammed ls1 with ls6 top end Hope this helps

Thank you. I completely agree. Picked up a set of FAST 36# which will flow 42# in a C5.
The injectors I picked up came with the o-rings on the bottom for a LS2 (or 3 ... I forget) and the seller told me I'd have to get LS1 o-rings. Are the o-rings on the top and the bottom the going to be the same? I'm just going to replace both of them while it's apart. I can pick them up at my local auto parts store but they don't know which to get.
