Default Another tire post yayyy

So after a hiatus I have returned. I've searched and while I found these will fit. I'm not sure if they'll be good for my set up.

daily driver. That will see probably 2 weekends a month at the track..
car is turbo on 14psi all supporting mods. No dyno I'm expecting 670 from it at 5400 elevation..

will a set of 305 45 17 on 17x10 inch rims be too much out back?. It's a z car so 3.42 out back. Mexico will be a lot of 40rolls..

Too much for what?
I think it more depends on what kind of tire you get

I suppose I meant will a 28 inch tire be too much tire for my needs lol.
was in between racemasters or a set of MT et streets.. had 305 35 18s in the MT streets at about 520ish whp before and was good at anything 40+ still had to baby launches on the 18 inch radial though..

also nice to see another Colorado native

Cheers man, it's definitely tough with the altitude. Are you still in CO?
I've tried quite a few tires with different builds, currently I have the Toyo R888r's (345's) and they hook great (880whp) I prefer a stiffer sidewall for handling but they are also sticky for roll race/highway runs. I'm on 19's so only 345/30's, with 17s you'll definitely have a good amount of rubber. It's probably more about personal preference
NT05r's are a nice DR, Hoosiers and MT's always have great reviews. I think with that power level you'll need 305s+ or more. Always better to have more traction than needed imo
