Is risking your entire motor worth saving an hour of your time and $200?
Don't do any cam without upgrading valve springs
A google search or forum search would answer this with thousands of responses telling you hell no

Nope. You need to replace the springs to ones that are rated to at least 0.600 lift. Factory springs are only good to 0.570.
Also, you will need a tune with that big of a cam. And if you have an auto trans, you would probably also need a higher stall torque converter.
Asking questions about a cam for your car is not a simple question. You need to define your goals and how much money you want to spend.
For a stock car with stock springs, I would recommend this cam: http://www.cammotion.com/camshafts/l...-218-224-16-3/. Even then, I would recommend a fresh set of factory LS6 springs.
