Hi im gonna try and keep this brief I recently purchased my 1st c5 corvette its a 97 with longtube headers, heads, cam, stall, shift kit, str8 pipes and 373 gear. The previous owner said its 500 horse and that he ran 10.8 in the quarter...not sure if I believe that yet but shes quick very quick but theres some fast stuff out here on the street and even though im still learning how to handle her i know ill want to go faster in the future. So my question is what next? Bigger gear, turbo, or whatever suggestions you guys may have thx

The answer depends on if you want to stay NA of go forced induction. I just put new 418 strokers in both my vehicles and they both run 10's NA....however, that is considered slow now days.
A 410 gear will get you a little more but you will be stuck in the 10's unless you go NOS.
All in all.....$$$$$$$ can determine what you should do. If your loaded, go all out.
The 3.73 gears are a great gear for the street and track so long as you keep a nice high stall 3,800 - 4,000. My 98 used to run 10.2's n/a. Weight means a LOT when running all motor, especially an LS1 with a 346 Ci. There's ALWAYS someone else that is faster out on the street. lol
If you ever get a chance to run it at the track, feel free to post in the sticky above and I will be happy to post your results.
Congrats on your decision by the C-5 - I'm sure that you're gonna love it!

10's considered slow? lol. man how times have changed. Im 50 years old and I remember being a senior in high school. A guy had a 1980 Camaro with a big block and 2 speed glide. he ran mid 12s and we all thought he was the king of the hill!!!!!
I still don't think 10's is considered slow though. I think having a car that can run 10's and still retain all the creature comforts of a modern car and be able to take a 300 mile road trip is AWESOME.

Did you ever think a time would come that "10 seconds is slow nowadays"?!! Or even 11s for that matter!!!
