between me and a Z06? My car made 339 RWHP, and is a 01 A4 w/ non-runflats..see sig...a z06 usually puts down 355 RWHP stock. But calculating drivetrain loss, a z06 makes 405 BHP, and mine would be 425BHP 9 using 20% drivetrain loss)...just curious...

Re: would would win? (spoiled996)
Seems to me a stock ZO6 has higher rwhp & torque. Assuming a good driver in the Z, I don't see how you have a chance.
Having said that, get a poor driver in any car & you can win if you're good. Last Sat. @ the Corvette challenge, I saw a new(er) Viper run 13.5!!
Before headers, I was only at 334 RWHP/338 RWTQ. Matched to my converter/gear setup I used to flat out embarass a lot of stock Z06 owners. If the guy can drive, and you're on street tires, you might be in trouble.
i have never been to a drag strip...though i would like to...guess it would help with my launching abilities...i do have the 3.15 gears in my car. So i guess putting the headers on the car would make the difference?
It depends on the race. Most of the time, an A4 will NOT need as much rwhp to whip a M6 car because most people are NOT professional drivers and as a result, they will miss a shift (especially in a race).
However, it is absolutely necessary for an A4 car to get gears and a converter. . .as someone else indicated, the addition of gears and a converter = whipped Z (most of the time).
PS for good measure I would also add the Transgo shift kit. It makes the A4 so much more fun to drive!
If you are at 339rwhp with the a4 and add 20% you would be 407bhp==the z is a 6speed obviously so adding 15% to 355rwhp he would have 408bhp so the power would be equal and come down to driver but at that power level without a big tc and lower gears I think he would win all else being equal for your 339rwhp to get to 425bhp you have to add 25%--
339RWHP / .8 = 423.75 FWHP, not 407... 407 FWHP w/ 20% loss would have = 322 RWHP... so i would have more FWHP then a Z...a Z w/ 355 RWHP / .85 would equal 417.64 FWHP
Great, you have more FWHP....does that really matter though? You can do all the math in the world to give you more crank hp if all you care about is internet racing...then you win. There's a reason why true enthusiasts use RWHP....cause that's what is put to the ground in the real world.
Now go race a stock Z(on the track ) and come back with results.
