The car is a 04 Vette, A4, 3.15 gears. The mods are K&N FIPK, FLP Headers (no cats), Magniflow Cat Back, MTI S2E heads, MTI Stealth 2 Cam (224/220 .576/.581 116lsa), ASP Pulley. This is before and after I tuned the car. The customer was a little disapointed because MTI told him he would probably be around 415 rwhp after installing the heads, cam, and pulley after a tune. What do you think?
Stock converter? I think the numbers aren't bad, though i would expect a little higher numbers without cats. If he had a 6 speed they would be above 400rwhp. I guess he has the stock manifold & MAF. There could be more there with some mods on the VE table and timing. A4s are hard to tune and dyno. Any misfires, knock(sorry missed the print out) etc?
For an A4, I think the numbers are not that bad. I would say that he is no more than 10rwhp below normal. A cold air filter as well as further tuning (i.e. slightly leaner A/F ratio & increase/decrease WOT timing) could get him to the 400rwhp mark. The 415rwhp quote was probably for M6.
Was the converter locked during those dyno runs?
