How much more faster are the 4:10 then the 3:90? I have a 99 FRC 6 speed with CARTEK X package.

With your setup I would think the 410s if you are into drag racing--I run 390s on my stroker and I think I may like 373s better and would love to try a set for awhile--

considering 3.90 or 4.10 myself
i have seen some companies that sell complete carriers with core exchange and some that sell the gears to install on your own

but I have not seen anyone selling complete carriers with gearing other than 3.42 and 3.73- who actually sells what we are looking for?

Default 4:10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!

I have 3.90's BUT with the 3.90's the car bogs a bit when you launch it. If I had the 4.10's it wouldnt bog nearly as bad. Z06's do better than LS1 cars with 3.90's because their M12 trans is geared a little lower than the LS1 M6 trans..

I have a decent size cam with a race clutch in mine. A little difficuly getting started up an incline smoothly. I would rather accelerate quicker than plan on seeking 200MPH top speed.

dynotech engineering has the complete core you can buy, 3.90's or 4.10's. Depending on far you plan on building your car should determine what gears you go w/on an MN6. I'd say if you don't plan on going much higher than 400-450rwhp, you'd be ok w/4.10's. after that you going to have traction issues and shouldn't go more than 3.90's unless you run around town w/et streets or DR's all the time

I am already running 400+ with stock heads. I will be getting heads this winter, plus considering a larger cam and fly cutting the pistons. I will probably throw the 3.90s in.

This is a no brainer! Just go for the gusto and do the 4.10s and be done with that. MANY many here have done the 4.10s and no one that i have seen has any regrets. I have had them in my 03 Z06 for 12K miles and LOVE THEM!!! Do it once and do it right otherwise after the 3.90s are in you will always be thinking hey this is no big deal i should of just done the 4.10s and gotten that extra ede, omph, kick in azz, etc., etc! (and you will always be thinking you short changed yourself a bit)

Already had the 3.73s and could not get 4.10s. They made a diff but 4.10s should be perfect. Next year 4.10s will go in.

My brother in law drag races and he works on cars all day and he told me the only way to go if your going to switch gears are the 4.10. If your thinking about 3.90 go with the 4.10. I've heard people really like them. Thats what I plan on getting.
