Mufflers or no Mufflers

I am going to take my C5

to the quarter for the first time this weekend. I have a little grudge with a friend and want to put it on him. I had an LT-1 before and found that with the cutout off on the car(no mufflers) it was good for 15 rwhp. So if I take the mufflers off my Vette is it going to help me this time or hurt me. Right now it is bolt-ons,cam,stockmanifold with gutted cats.

Your better off not changing anything right before you go to the track. You don't want to throw off your tune. Beat your buddy with driving skill -- not just a loud car..
