Default mods for the 1/8

Hey everyone,
I mostly run the eighth mile, and I've got about $2000 bucks to modify my '01 6 speed coupe that currently has a blackwing and borla stingers...What mods would help me the most in an eighth mile setting? I was thinking $1500 to upgrade to 4.10 gears, and then the remainder used to buy a set of wagon wheels with nitto drag radials for the strip...Any suggestions as to how much this'll help my eighth time out, or possibly suggestions on a better course of action? Also, the car will be taken up to high altitude soon (around 6500 feet), so are there any mods that are more altitude resistant in terms of creating power? I figured the gears would be a good choice since they don't have anything to do with air, but rather mechanics

Thanks,
Tommy

390's or 410's would be a big help but get the BFG's instead of nitto's.

I couldn't agree more. Since you are running the 1/8 mile I would take the 4.10s over the 3.90s.

CaptainCrunch....you can save a little money by getting 4:10 ring/pinion rebuild or even a used set...then you can add air intake and headers (?) ... the parts for sale section is pretty good and you can check-out if trust-worthy member quickly...my guess is you could get gears, headers, air intake and wheels/tires for $2000....then you could expect some 7.8 - 1/8th at about 88-90mph....good luck.
