Sooooo close to 11's !!!
1.82 60ft
7.81 1/8th
92.02 MPH
12.05 1/4
116.94 mph
I also ran a 12.33@118.23 and 12.38@118.42 both with a 2.0x 60ft Im still on street tires and the stock clutch.
The car feels much better with the TR224 cam, but showed hardly any gains on the Dyno over the 221/221 I had in there. I always use the same dyno after each mod to track gains/losses, verify tune ect.. but I honestly think that the dyno is in need of calibration, I got 370 Rwhp this time but trapping 118 mph. another friend is running low 11's@122 and dynoed 365 on the same dyno two days prior. Oh well the dyno is only a tool...the track/street is what counts!! Ive got Two more times to try and break into the 11's before I deploy. Wish me luck!!!

Sucks to be that close... Oh well, hopefully we will both get it next time.

Good luck hitting your goal and be safe on your deployment!!

Geneus: Get a CCW drag package, and you'll be in those 11's with no problems!

I want to be able to race just like I drive it on the street so no slicks or funny suspention set ups

I was running 12.08 and really wanting to pop an 11. After looking closer at my dyno, I dropped my shift on 2-3 to 6200 and the 3-4 to 5800. This got me down to 12.03-12.05. What got me the rest of the way was lining up with a Honda at the Import/Domestic shoot-out!
So line up against someone you want to beat so bad it hurts, I never shifted so quick in my life.
My drag radials are past beeing shot, but props to you to getting that close on street tires and lower hp, well done!
I come from the Old School, back in the late 70s early 80s the rule on the streets where I ran was race it like you drive it, and no nitrous. I've hadn't drag raced since early 80s till I bought this in 2000 and I am just now beginning to realize while those old ideas are quaint, it doesn't hold water if no one else is doing it. So I believe I will probably break down and buy a CCW drag package. You get tired of some guy in a CRX running 10s on slicks and juice being able to run in the same class as you whipping you, and all you can do is try to even the playing field.
Let us know when you hit that 11!
