Default first time out with the 04 vert

decided to run it today at MIR. 04 vert A4 with 2.73 gears. bone stock. nothing touched at all.

1st pass 2.09 60 foot 13.31 @ 105.9
2nd pass 2.08 60 foot 13.32 @ 105.5
3rd pass 2.08 60 foot 13.28 @ 105.8

i should bracket race this thing! cut a .035 and .016 light too.

this was on the 19 inch ccws with pilot sports.

all and all, im very happy with the stock performance. it needs gears and an air intake now.

Wow ...Tht shows you just how crappy the run flats really are...

You would have had a very hard time getting 3 2.0 60 fts on the run flats with 2.73 gears....

very nice with the 13.2.....

What was the temperture where you raced....

The DA was -598' most of the day. Let me tell you Brian's car stands out like a sore thumb with those polished CCWs. It is one of the best looking corvettes I have ever seen.
Phil

BTW I refuse to install any gear smaller than 3.90s in your car.

I'm just teasing. I would really give it some thought. I would rather do the right gear the first time. I'll hook you up with whatever you need.

Yes, those pilots definitely helped at least a tiny bit but I would still consider the car to be stock I guess.
Congrats.

I know I don't have 2.73s, but I still get 2.0 60fts all the time on my run flats, with two times in the 1.9s (a 1.97 and a 1.98) Most of the runs I make I get a 2.09 or better 60ft out of my run flats.

Guess I jut suckthen..

My best to date wth the 2.73's and run flats is a 2.137..

amgeting a litle better tough...

My first 50 or so runs were in the 2.2-2.3 range..

And my last 20 or so have been in the 2.1-2.2 range...

Track prep and weather play a big role though...

Regardless of different ties or not..

You only hit 2.0.And there are people that run that or even a little better on run craps..

So se's still bone stock to me.

13.2 is very respectable for a 2.73...

Or any C5 for that matter

3.90's and street tires DO NOT mix well

Like you said though - air was NICE. Track prep was pretty good. A lot of new bests yesterday. Just wish we all could get more then 3-4 runs over the 6 hours.

And Phil is right - one of the cleanest Vettes around. I even think Papa Sig would drool

I also thought the Vette outfit was a nice touch Brian

i thought i was gonna fall asleep going down the track. going from a mid 10 sec 6 speed f-body to a low 13 sec a4 is a big change for me.

i figured 13.5's would be the times, but i was wrong. to me a 2.0 60 is pretty slow, but i guess its not too bad for the 1st time at the track with a new car that i said i wasnt going to race....

You planned on racing - hell, you drove into MIR and RIGHT to tech - lol. Those times are very decent for a stock A4 C5 (especially with the 2.73's) and running on street tires.

But yes, your completely right - nothing quite like cutting 1.6's off the line - or 1.4's for you and your bottle backpack launches

Hey Brain good times with that 2.73 rear. I think your car would be going faster if you didn't have those ccw's on. Also I would go with that 3.73 rear and a nice stall. Phil and I don't want to pull the rear down twice so buy them at the same. Also did you get that intake yet.
